new block choice
 
first of all thank you for talking some sense into me. i finally decided to go back to b series and saw this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEBI%3AIT&rd=1
do you think that would even be worth messing with? looks like ill end up paying around 35-50 plus 100 shipping

i do have a professional mechanic in the family so i would be able to clean it up. just wanted an opinion on how salvageable it was

im sure its usable, but i would just find a ls shortblock fully complete for like 3 cents and run that.

get either a b16 or b18 and get it professionally sleeve. Forged internals...

i agree - USDM blocks are getting very cheap and can handle more power - you would be stupid not to ;D

its missing oil squirters, dont know how hard those are to find and knock sensor is broke me and my friend spent forever to find a good one.
