need some quick advice

this should prolly be in engine managment, but it seems like it takes 2 days to get a decent responce in that forum, im installing a vafc on my buddys mini me set up, its a z6/y8 running obd-0 on a pg7, i got the install down, and dont plan on messing with fuel settings much at all, its all motor, just using the vafc as a means of vtec activation, i plan on leaving all the fuel settings at zero except the high throttle settings at and above vtec activation, how much fuel should be added? +1%, +2% ??? or should i just leave those points at zero's as well? he has been running vtec on a toggle switch, which has no fuel enrichment, and it seems to do fine for the past year like that, just curious if i should add a little fuel at vtec??? thanks for the help guys...

You can't tune without tuning tools, kids.

You do know that vafc's have a vtec mis-match correction on them right? You can set a percentage through there for a temp solution until further said tuning is done.

thats not what i meant, :6 but i guess that how it looked.. either way it doesn't really matter you have to acknowledge that idea that some people have no way of tuning and they are running a are without tuning... maybe its smart to get some advice from someone that has done the same several times without blowing there motor up. ther eare safe ways of tuning with a safc, and vafc without blowing your motor up.... :y its called tuning rich and getting your ass to a dyno.. thats the best advice i can give i guess.. oh course assuming its a boost setup..

There is no safe way of tuning a turbo Honda with stock ECU and AFC.

damn JD, you need to read up on tuning, he's been doing this ---- forever, take a vacation from plumbing school and stay up all night reading so you can understand how to tune. LOL ::)

OP, a mini-me is actually the act of putting a vtec head on a non vtec block, but anyhow. you have two choices, dont run vtec until you can get it on a dyno, or use whatever GUESSED values you want to use and hope for the best, but honestly, if its not tuned after the vtec crossover you wont see a gain.
