Need opinions

my check engine light came on after starting it w/ hardly any gas in it, i got 2 codes, 1 was a high map sensor reading, an i fixed that one by removing my piece of ---- vafc, and the other is factory controlled ignition problem or misfire, so i thought that possibly a whole bunch of ---- was sucked into my fuel filter causing a lean condition but i replaced that yesterday and reset everything and my check engine light came back on. has anyone had any experience w/ this code, sounds like it could be anything. D16y8 obd2 it runs well but slightly backfires when i shift but not constantly. sorry for the long post. thanx guys

I think its too much fuel being unburned, since I took my turbo off I had backfire if I shift at low rev. and cel every now and then, I made some adjustment but I still get the backfire. b16sir2 vafc 450cc 255lph pump msd ign, b&m fpr. turbo temperary off because I need to change rings.

new problem, tonight its cold and my car ran like total ----. it started stumbling real bad and the idle started to bounce between nearly 0 and 1500 up and down. i'm beginning to think that its my alternator or battery cause it ran better in high rpm.

Did you check the CEL after this happened? Anything about an O2 sensor?

Re:Need opinions

yeah i checked the cell. i got p1337 manufacturer controled ignition system or misfire. so yeah that tells me a whole lot. but today i checked my battery and its shot so i'm hoping my problems are related to that.
