hello my distributor broke down on my D16A9 engine! will a distributor from a D16A6 work?

need answers asap!

you can try, if you have it try it. they are both obd0 right? the only difference i can see is that the d16a6 dizzy is a sohc not a dohc. is your motor a dohc? thats what wikipedia is tellin me....

 

yes i got the Dohc engine im going to put a msd blaster coil and cap on it anyway... i saw on ebay that a A6 distributor wasnt more than 130 bucks so i think i give it a try i mean why shouldent it work?

or dose somebody already know that its not going to work?

 

it will work but not all of your bolt holes on it will line up.

 

is it exactly the same component's in a A6 distributor? what is the difference except the holes?
