Default Need lower control arm help...

I'm having some issues with my 89 ED hatch with the rear LCA's. I have a set of aftermarket LCA's, but i'm not sure of what brand they are because a friend of mine gave them to me without any packaging or paperwork. They're nice pieces, billet aluminum with holes drilled in them and anodized blue. Only problem is it appears as if they're a 1/2" shorter than the stock LCA. I mounted my wheels and dropped the car back down onto the ground, and even with my coil-overs dropped all the way down, the rear tires still tip out at the top pretty bad. My only options that i can see would be to either get an adjustable UCA, or to replace the LCA with a stock piece from a Si. The whole reason i wanted to use these LCA's was for the DA sway bar that i added on while i did my DA disc brake swap, and I don't feel like trying to hunt down a set of Si rear LCA's. Anyone got any ideas, or maybe know of any UCA's that are shorter than the stock dx pieces on the ED's?

I fixed the problem...just made my own upper's at 1/2" shorter to match the lowers. Problem solved

Camera's fubar'd right now...took the front trailing arm toe in adjustors and made a mount for the chassis side. Exactly 1/2" shorter than the stock pieces, and with the new mount it steps out the arm far enough to give me about 1.5 degrees of neg. camber in the rear with my wheels.

were the rear LCAs stock 100% ? you SURE they are not teg units?

cuz if some1 put a rear swap on they might have used the teg upper and lower CA's which would push the wheel out. if you used stock LCA they would look smaller, but are actually the right ones.

The LCA's i used were an aftermarket billet piece...for some stupid reason they made them 1/2" shorter than stock ED pieces, but they were supposed to be sold as a matched upper and lower set. Picked em up off my friend, but all he had was the lowers. So i ended up having positive camber due to the shorter LCA and stock 1/2" longer UCA. I measured out both the ED and DA UCA's and LCA's, and you're right...the DA units are longer, both uppers and lowers. But now at least with the new upper that i made, and with the help of lowering the coil-overs, i'm back to 1.5" lowered and 1.5 degrees negative camber. Matched up with the front wheels set at 0.5 degrees neg. camber i think it should handle pretty well.
