i have the civic 89 running obd1 with a old d 1.6 motor, but know i what change my motor for a type-r obd2 , can run the type r obd1 or is it better to leave it obd2 , if it ok for obd1 ecu what distributor do i need , also what else do i need for this swap ,

run it obd1. as for the distributor, you should be able to use the one that comes with the engine. you just have to change plugs

you need research... but axles mounts and linkage are a good start

its best to use a cable tranny too..unless you want to do that hydro conversion stuff.
and chip a p28 so you can tune it also

this swap is over your head at this point homeboy you need to do a lot of research about it before you even attempt this or you'll never get it running, I'll help you out a little though
1 you need b swap mounts
2 you need b swap shift linkage
3 you need a cable tranny from any b16/b18
4 your going to need to change a bunch of plugs/connectors on your wire harness so they can plug into the obd2 motor such as the distributor (this is where you need to do a lot of research)
5 you need axles from a 90-93 integra
6 you need to get your obd1 ecu chipped and run a type r map
The biggest bitch about this swap will be changing out connectors on your wire harness so that it plugs into an obd2 motor, but make sure you do your homework and get it right, or the car will never run the way it should, there is lots of good info out there about doing swaps like this they have been done many times, now get to it !
