did your speedo stop working at any point?

My 88 CRX Si threw the same code. I reset the ecu and hasnt been back since. 88-91 cars used a cable for the speedo and at the speedo it pulses a signal to the ecu. So if your speedo works it might just be a loose wire on the back of the cluster.
