Need Help Car won't run. $5 PAYPAL

Ok nogs i need serious help. I know it's a long read but i really need some help (and you could make 5 bucks).

00 civic ex, was turbo'd, now returned to stock (need to pass emissions)

2 nights ago, eveything was fine. I'm back to the stock ecu and everythng. The next morning i went out to start my car and i could hear a bunch of relays clicking and the car wouldn't start. With the key in the run position, only the seatbelt light and the brake light would illuminate on the dash. When i tried to start it i could hear the fan come on, and nothing would happen. The battery voltage is at 12 volts.

So i push it in the garage, checked EVERY fuse, and they're all good. I took out my turbo timer, and my VAFC (since i don't need either of them really), and double checked all the wiring involving the ECU and the Ignition, everything is good. Then i followed the service manual test procedure to test the ignition switch, and it's working fine. I then decided to test the PGM FI relay as per the service manual. That too is fine. I then tested the wiring harness going to the PGM FI relay, and that's fine as well.

I also tried hooking up my P28 to it (to make sure the ECU wasn't cooked) and I got the same results. However one time i bent the wires really hard and it was normal! So i thought the problem was solved, i go to start it, and the lights on the dash went out again, and the relays clicked, and then the light slowly lit a little. So i'm assuming there's a lose connection somewhere. The only other thing i have found that is wrong is on the middle connector for the ECU there's 2 brn/blk wires and they're both grounds for the ecu. One of them has continuity and the other does not.

I cleaned the engine and chasis grounds, and i even found the grounding point for those two wires, and cleaned that too, and i can't get continuity on that ground wire. I visually inspected the harness and i can't see anything that could have pinched or severed it. So i'm kind of clueless in that respect. But my only hypothesis right now, is that not all the wires in the ECU are connecting/getting ground. All the others have ground and power.

It just pisses me off that one day, it doesn't want to run when it's perfectly fine. Especially since i haven't fucked with anything in weeks. Complete bullshit, but if any of you guys have ideas of other things to test of look for, that'd be awesome. Actually how's $5 paypal to the person who suggests a solution sound? I don't know what i'm going to do if i can't figure it out since it's my daily driver and i need to get to school :1

help!!

.. could it be the wire that doesn't let you start with out the clutch in being fucked up?

Check your starter. HAve someone tap it with a wrench while you try to start it. Tell them to be careful and insulte the wrench well. See if it clicks when you turn the key. MAke sure the wires into it are plugged properly. :y

my thought too, any more information?

you other guys, thanks for the comments but i'm not worried about starting it, i need to get the car into the "run" position. I don't have all my dash lights and you can't hear the fuel pump or other components priming like they usually do when you're about to start.

during the summer, my hatchback didnt want to start due to the shitty main relay. i guess its a really common problem. but i would have to turn the key back and forth till i hear the the fuel prime then it will start. do as ravage said and check the solder points on the main relay. i also am too lazy to fix it. :)

turns out it was actually the battery. ??? I put a new one in and it's fine. Strange too because both batteries read 12.5 volts, and i performed an electrolyte test on my battery about 2 weeks ago. But i'll keep that main relay trick in mind should i ever encounter a similar problem. Thanks!

sounds like a ground problem, could be a small ground at the back of the engine that u missed

well i cleaned the ground cable comming off the battery, and the ground going to the engine, and the ground connecting to the engine harness. I figure those are the important ones, but at least it runs now.

Hey that main relay you guys were talking about, that's the PGM FI relay in the passenger side dash right?
