need dizzy help with 91 civic hb with a 97 d16y7 w-(mini-me)

ok, here goes.
i bought my son this 91 civic hb for a christmas present. the car had a blowed motor. i took the motor ( d16y7) out of my 97 hb and put in his 91 hb. ok
the y7 motor has a 93 or 94 civic ex head on it. when it was in my 97 hb..to make it run, i took everything out of the 97 dist. and put it in my 94 dist housing. it worked. but it is a obd2a distr. guts. i tried to use the dist. for the 91 and i moved the dizzy to make it start, and it started, but there are no bolt holes for me to bolt the dizzy down. is there any way for me to rewire the obd2a dizzy that was in the 97hb,and make it work for the 91 wiring.?????????
pleaseeee help me

I don't believe there's a way to do that. A couple of days ago i tried to wire an obd1 dizzy onto my obd0 ecu, and it wouldn't start at all. I would say the best thing to do is to mark where u want the dizzy to sit, and try and hog out the top bolt hole (should be pretty close), or cut them off completely and have some tabs welded on. Just make sure you check everything with a timing light (also make sure to jump the service connector) before you go nuts with a grinder or a saw, to be sure it's exactly where it should be. You don't wanna end up with a 15 or 20 degree mechanical advance. ;D

Use the obd-0 dist. You will need port out the holes and you will be able to get 2 holes lined up. I have done this on atleast 5 sohc vtec swaps in 88-91 cars and it works just fine. Make sure to grind the holes quite a bit so you can fully adjust timing.
