ok well i have had my teggy for three years now i bought it in my first year of high school great car couldnt of been any better i blew it up and then i knew i wanted to turbo it but due to lack of money i couldn't afford it so i just rebuilt the motor and drove it on weekends now that im out of school i wanted to start my build again i have started getting parts and i have ran into a little problem i ran out of money :7 damn bills why cant it just grow on trees but i need help i should i get low comp pistons (je or weisco) or get some h beam rods i cant get both i can only get one or the other and i know some peolpe say save and wait but i was thinking with shotpeened ls rods and je pistons my set up would be ok for high 200 hp mark which is what im going for the turbo is only a t3 and going to be on 12lbs so should i wait and do it right or just shotpeen the ls rods with the je pistons and get rods at a later date or get h beam rods and get pistons later if rods were kept and shotpeened i would have arp bolts installed i need help

200hp is safe on a stock block with a good tune.

I'm boosting my LS/Vtec on 12lbs, on a stock rebuild. I would wait until you can get both rods and pistons. Besides, if I remember correctly, there will be an issue with the wrist pins working in forged pistons and stock rods.

Re: need advice

Do some searching about the capabilities of the b18b/a motors. They can handle more power than you're aiming for in stock form with a good tune.

Do some more reading about turbo sizes/specs. Saying I want to run 12 lbs on a t3 is VERY vague...

Yep LS bottom ends are uber strong. Stock motor with lots of boost and ull have fun, and if it breaks ---- it go buy another for $100
