My Ride

I have a 93 Honda Civic coupe EX and i was wondering if i should change out the engine or try to fix the engine that it already has which is a D16 1.6L?? If i should swap my engine which engine would be best for my ride to get the most power out of?? Also which ever engine i should decide with i want to turbocharge it as well
Thanks

Re:My Ride

The D16Z6 is a great motor. I would stick with it and boost the hell out of it.

Keep reading the forums/FAQ and check out all the turbo/tech projects. I have the same engine and will be boosting it soon. Oh yeah make sure you get it tuned well and read up on fuel management.

I have the d15b2 piece of ---- in my car, if I had a d16z6 I would have boosted it, but I don't so I'm putting in a b16 and then boosting that. I think you should boost your motor and learn from it, if you want more power then buy a b series engine later, but learn on the engine you have.

that and dseries parts are cheaper.

but.. if money is no object. I'd drop in a gsr motor into ANY civic 92 and up. a 88 to 91 i would go b16.

the reason for not going with b16 on the 92 and up cars is that they weigh more and the b18's tq would really be more useful on these cars. if I had 15g's to blow then i'd get a 6g hatch swap a gsr motor and lower it, then go w/ 99-00 Si front end conv and jdm CTR rear (maybe even front) blah blah.. n/m just rambling.
