Default My Mini-Me Run like a DX Motor any suggestion????

I running a Y7/Y8 Setup in a 93 DX couple. My car runs like a regular DX motor, a friend of mine did the same thing and his runs better and his car is a 95 ex. I though that since mine's a DX it should of been faster. I even race my buddy and I almost couldn't keep up with him... What's WRONG with my setup?? HELP......

I'm using a P28 ECU and all the proper wire is hooked up already. The VTEC kicks at 4,800 RPM and when the VTEC kicks it feels like its weaker then a regular sohc vtec. It feels like its not getting enough air.

In the block It's in between the two middle cylinders, when you've got the head off you'll see it.
