My idle is F'ed in the A
 

I was driving along on the freeway and everything was going good. When I shifted my rpms went up and i was kinda confused. When i got off at my exit I realized that it was idling at 4k. I took it home and looked for vaccum leaks but didnt see any. so i took the car out again just to see if i was on crack when it happened. it started off at 3k rpms, but then when i drove for a bit it went up to 4! Is it my eacv? what else could it be? if it is my eacv, where is it? btw this is a boosted 89 hf.

whenever this happens to me, i usally take it out, hold the throttle to the floor for about 5min and then let off. then i usally post about it IN THE HYBRID SECTION as to what is wrong. people usally help me out then.

but if this were in the hybrid section, i would think it would be something with your IACV or that idle adjustment thing thats at the bottom of the throttle body. there is a screw in there that sometimes becomes fucked for whatever reason. its really easy to fix, but its just the thought of doing it that really sucks about the whole job.

i believe its called the fast idle valve stuck to the bottom of your throttle body. you just need to take it apart and screw that big ass plastic or metal thing back in

So I took off the Iacv today to see what I could do. When I put it back on, the bastard cracked in half. I need a new one, but theyre 215 new from honda ??? and i dont really want to spend that. Do I need it or is there a way to not use it? Also, if i completely need it doesn anyone have one? (89 hf)

eacv != fitv.

maybe the pop can trick thing will work?
just take out the coolant lines.
and then adjust your FITV.
