is it my alternator?

ok this morning i went to crank my car.....DEAD....and nothing was left on
(it was a cold morning)
so i rolled it off and cranked it....ran fine....drove it for an hour and turned it off....DEAD...i get no lights on the dash for the battery or alternator
i take it to auto zone...leaving it running...and they check it.....12.45 volts at the battery at idle...diagnosed as a bad alternator
i go home and take it off and take it to a shop....they tell me the alternator is good at a 60 amp load...IM DYING HERE!!!
i go home and put it back on and charge the battery
cranks fine but still 12.45 volts at the battery and alternator
i have noticed my light going a crap load brighter then dimming; dash lights and headlamps
i dont know what to do
help

I think it would be the batery because if they did a load test on the alternator and it turned out fine than it is charging the battery and the battery is loosing power than. Maybe the battery froze common problem in mn are the sides buldged out

Re:is it my alternator?

12.45 volts on a battery is like a 75% charge. But when the car is running you should have 14 volts plus going into your battery. I'd say its most likely your alternator but get both tested again

yeah sounds like the battery is goin or you might have some corrosion on the terminals.
try using a battery tester and see what happens
