Default muffler options

im getting a my exhasut system made in a week by a friend of the families. hes an old timer and said he would build me the whole exhaust system for 180. it will be SS 2.5 with a flexpipe. he said he could do my downpipe to no problem. iv e seen his work before and the bends look odd. there not crushed or anything and they look like bends you would buy jcwhitney, but there like grooved at the top kind of, almost like how whitey bends look but its perfectly smooth. anyway, im worried about the mufflers that he uses. i havent really looked at those, but im thinking that they might hurt the turbo with backpressure. should i just say keep it open all the way back? or should i just buy a cheapo muffler off of ebay. i would buy a nice muffler from like summit or jcwhitney, but im broke from this damn car and i want to get it done. i could get a ghetto can from ebay for like 25 shipped. i figured some one on here has had experience with either of these or both.
thanx

are his mufflers chambered and not straight through? are you running a cat? resonators?
i have no cat and 1 resonator and i switched from a chambered to a fart can and it is so loud. i'm going to ditch the fart can and find something else.

Run it open with two of the biggest resonators you can find.
