Default MSD distributor igniter?

Msd makes an igniter for their msd distributor that they sell for obd1,2 hondas. I have a obd0 and was wondering if this igniter that they sell is any better then the stock one. Also will it work in a obd0 distributor? I wasen't sure if they were interchangable?

Anything is better than the stock ignitor.

Read the MSD literature on the part, it tells all. Some of thier stuff isn't meant to be used with stock components.

There is a darlington pair circuit that can be DIY and has been passed around on the interwebs for some years now. It is reputedly infaillable.
