OK so me and my brother who is a mechanic did mpfi swap(we used a complete conversion harness off ebay which made the whole thing much easier)...we had everything but the si fuel line(we ended up using the dx fuel fitting in the si fuel rail and the dx fuel line) does anyone think this could cause any problems because the fuel flows out from a different angle? my idle fp is 28psi... the only other thing we had to fabricate was a throttle cable holder; my brother fabbed up one out of the dx one. anyway I had a code 14, 20...once we switched to the green plug to the eacv i only had the code 14 which seems weird... also heres my quick crappy diagram of the differences between the fittings for the fuel lines https://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a...ellinediff.jpg anyway the main problem is bogging at 2k but if u giv it more gas its ok but its undrivable... someone suggested it could b fuel related... could it be a bad resistor box? I know code 14 is EACV and I know I have vacuum leaks, as we had to leave the shop and we didnt have a diagram for it, we have it now though and that will be corrected this weekend. But I dont think the vacuum leaks could cause this violent bogging at 2k??? or could they? any suggestions or help would be appreciated... |

Your fuel pressure is low.Fix the vacum lines first.The code 20 doesnt matter it is the elctrical load detector and I have had that on my Civic for a couple years.To verify the EACV is good grab the multimeter and mesure between terminals and there should be 8-15ohms and no continuity to ground.Also there should be power at the black/yellow with the key on.Do you have the correct plug hooked up as there is a extra one left over from the MPFI swap.You should have 35-41 psi roughly with the engine idling and the vacumn hose disconnected from the regulator.So basicall fix the easily things like vacum and fuel pressure then test the EACV to verify it is good.Also look at the stickies at the top of this forum and there is a link to shop manuals, download the CRX one and you can answer most of your own questions instead of asking and get frustrated with the flaming responces.
