Mpfi swap?
Ok did some searching on this. The ones that I found say that I need to change the distrubitor. Do I have to? I mean I'm only changing the intake manifold, what does that have to do with the distrubitor?

Re:Mpfi swap?
it has everything to do with the distributor, the distributor houses sensors that give the computer the signal it needs to control injector pulse

Re:Mpfi swap?
heres what you need. not only do you need the dizzybut you also need the si ecu. the distributor is a must cause it has sensors in there that the dx one doesnt. you also need the ecu cause it has the pins to control the 2 new injectors that you are adding as well as the two new sensor wires that the dizzy come with. i have both of these things for sale if your interested. this is the ebay auction for the dizzy..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW and i have an 88 si pm6 ecu. i have an offer for 65shipped for it so if you can beat that its yours.
let me know jordan |
Re:Mpfi swap?
Ok one last stupid question and I'll stop bugging. Will a distrubitor from a 94 civic work? Why I ask is because I have on lying around in my shop and I don't want to spend alot of money on a motor I'm just gonna blow up....

Re:Mpfi swap?
I don't think so. What you can do is take that to oreillys and have a core for an Si dizzy even though it isn't. They can't tell the diffence. Done it many times

Re:Mpfi swap?
no the 94 distributor wont work, and yes you do need the si ecu
