Misfiring and TOTAL loss of power at times

My girls 93 Accord is giving me some issues. At random times the tachometer will start jumping around like crazy and then it will skip and sputter. Sometimes it will go dead and sometimes it just continues running problem free. When it does go dead it is "hit or miss" on how soon it will start up. I've already replaced the ignition coil 2x and have taken the dizzy cover off and inspected in there as well. I noticed after spending the money on the ignition coil that one of the wires on the ICM had worked its way loose. So I put it back on and she ran like a champ for the longest. Then two days ago the EXACT SAME symptoms started happening AGAIN. So I took the dizzy cover off again checked on the ICM, and the wire is still connected (not loose or anything). I'm kind of confused... I did notice the last time I looked in there was some rust forming on the rotary button shaft... and this time it appears to be worse. I'll take some sand paper to it this afternoon and hope that that fixes it. If it does... whats the best way to keep rust from re-forming on the shaft again? I know WD-40 would work... but I'd really like something that would last longer. Or is this even going to be the problem?

Cliff Notes:
F22A6
Possible electrical problem
No loose wiring on ICM
Rust found on dizzy rotary shaft thing
^^^ possible culprit of miss firing and total loss of power

Also forgot to add in I'm not getting any CEL's, so that is only making this worse

Sounds like you need to just replace the dizzy

Sounds like a igniter going bad in the dizzy. Sometimes auto parts stores can test it if you take it off.

I'll have to call vatozone and see if they can do that. thanks.

Heres a question for ya. Say it is the ICM... vatozone wants $70 for a new one. I've got an extra one sitting in my D15B7... are they compatible? They look to be the same... Input welcome...

Just get a new dizzy, or a good used one.

As long as they are the same obd then you should be ok.

Id swap ignitors's from another dizzy if it even remotely looked the same or fit, regardless of OBD.
