i just bought a 91 civic hatch dx...i have a d16y7 block laying around that i mite do a mini me turbo with..i also have a cable b16 tranny and ecu...i was thinking about which one would be better...(best bang for the buck)..i wanna be able to run mid 13's..i know the mini me turbo can do it..with the righ tuning...but i also like the torque of the b18a/b and the b20...but i also like the feel of vtec from the b16...which one would work out best for a daily drivin hatch...sorry might be a stupid question..but i gotta choose...thanks

 

Youd have to try a little bit harder to get that single cam in the 13's. Twin cam shouldnt be as difficult in my opionion. Another thing is the cost b series swaps are a little more expensive. How deep is your wallet?I would love a geezeer turbo though . Or even the big boy the b20 turbo. Now im confused let us know with what you go with.

i would like a b20..but cylinder walls are an issue..
if i go with a b-series..i just need the long block and
a set of mounts..that shouldn't be to deep in my wallet
unless i go gsr or type r..but...i might just do a b18a
with F/I...i've already have a dodge colt that runs 12.4's..and maybe high 11's with the new 20g turbo..this

you'll need axles/mounts/shift linkage/hoses/rear mount bracket and a few other misc things... B-series is not cheap, but the easiest way to get 13's is just go turbo D-series.. its cheap and right to the point.
