mini-me problems

I've never done a mini-me swap before, so I installed a d15b2 with a d16z6 head (slight port & polish). Other important thing is that I used crx si plenum and distributor. At the moment I am using a pr3 from my old b16 for an ecu (still tracking a pm6). I can't really get the distributor to adjust timing and don't know if I could get some advice. Other thing is I'm flashing 10 and 11 on the ecu and I can't find engine codes. I'd appreciate any help.

Re:mini-me problems

Any advice on being able to time using obd0 distributor?
Also putting in a vafc and can't find any wire in directions that pertain to a obd0 setup.

Re:mini-me problems

you can use the obd0 dist on that head but you have to open up the holes on the distributor thingy. my distributor is only hanging on by one bolt though.

go to the apex website and they have instructions there on teh wiring

Re:mini-me problems

advice... get rid of that pr3... total ---- (send it to me and i will send u a pm6 ;))... also... for best results, convert to obd1 (not as hard as u think, and all u need is a p28 ecu and z6 dizzy...

Re:mini-me problems

if u convert to obd1 its not hard, but its expensive.. youll need wiring, distributor and ecu. to do the timing u need to find this little plug that is near the drivers side engine mounts (little yellow capped plug) and jump it(car off) (meaning put a paper clip connecting the two female plugs there) Then turn the car on and loosen the distributor and move it around toward the radiator to forward timing and vice versa.. You need a timing gun to check that the tick marks are flashing at tdc.. then you know your timing is right.

Re:mini-me problems

I have everthing for the obd1 conversion just didn't have the time to do it(overnight swap). I will eventually swap, but for the time being I will just run the pr3 till I get a pm6. Thanks for the offer, but I'll keep the pr3 for an ls-vtec that I'm building. Thanks for the help.
