mini me

I've been searching cant find ----.
I am helping a friend to do a mini me swap. his block is a d15 none vtec, and I got him a y8 head, intake mani, and distributor, I know I will have to repin the dizzi because its obd2 and he has ob1 92 civic hatch.

parts list:

d16y8 head from a 2000 civic ex

intake mani, from the same car.

dizzy from the same car, I need to repin it to obd1

I know I need a obd1 vtec harness

a obd1 p28

what else do I need for this?
does it require a oil line like the LS/VTEC?
is it the same procedure? any help please, I am building it and tunung it for him, I dont want any guessing or mistakes.
people who done this please help

no oil line kit needed but u will have to remove the oil control jet in the block. if he had a obd1 d15 and u have a y8 head the d15 dist. will bolt right on with no mods! and make sure u use the y8 steel head gasket.

do I have to plug the hole after I remove the jet?

wow...with so much info on this site....especially for this setup...I'm dissappointed. This is what the search function was for. But...you don't need to really get the vtec obd1 harness if you want to run wires for the vtec direct....or through the firewall harness. First off...double check to see if he was wired for vtec stock. Some were...some weren't. :y

Re: mini me

are you sure? I'm not quick to say search but when I type in "mini me" I came up with 109 pages of trends. That should be more then enough info there. But to answer your question.....

no..you don't need the ls/vtec line.
you will have to mess with timing to correctly tune your motor.
wire vtec from wiring harness through harness or directly to ecu(depends if you are wired for vtec already)
make sure its not a cx d15 w. 8 valve reliefs or you'll hear problems.
repin or make an adaptor harness for your dist.
find the right timing belt. Everyone has used different ones. Depends on your engine.
some coolant lines may have to be re-routed.
find the right ecu.

Wiring for the vtec is on this site...if you cant find it, hybrid has it archived. That should cover most. ;D
