why not just run a pressure activated switch? Set it at like 4psi, it flips a relay, which turns on the pump.

Use an inline fuel pump with a CIS injector (they open up based on pressure, 35psi IIRC) off of an old VW, Volovo, etc...
the stage one kit comes with an adjustable boost switch, and they cost $200, the thing is I dont really know how safe that kit is.
