MAP Sensor Voltage

Hey guys.

Two Questions for your expertise.

1) Map voltage should be what at idle and what at 100% throttle....voltatges would be viewed useing VAFC2?

2) The map sensor harness plug itself, has 3 prongs, shouldn't 2 prongs read 5v with ingition on? or 1 read 5 volts and one read 4 volts?

Thanks guys.

Re:MAP Sensor Voltage

"Stock 1.8 bar sensor = 2.85 volts with key on engine off and 4.5xx volts at 10.6 psi. "

So with key on and motor not running voltage should read 2.85????

If I am not boosting, and at WOT the voltage shold read what, either with motor running, or not, either way anyone know the voltage?

Re:MAP Sensor Voltage

the map has nothing to do with the throttle, you are thinking TPS. :)

Re:MAP Sensor Voltage

I know, but what I said was confusing.

I meant to say that when car is running and in gear at WOT you are approcaching 0 vacuum. What shold the voltage be then, and what shold it be at idle.

Sorry for the confusion
