map sensor

can a map sensor contribute to bad gas millage? right now im currently averaging about 180-200 miles a tank. i think that it is rather low. i also think my ignitor inside the distributor is going out as well. all this is one a pm6 ecu from an 88 si rex. i still think i should be at least getting 300 miles or just under it for millage. then again this is on a 4 speed trans....maybe thats my culprit.

4-speed should get good gas mileage long gears=good gas mileage. U car running with any CEL's? do the plugs look like their from south africa?

no, plugs are good and clean. and im throwing no codes at all.

i just dont understand. i dont beat on it. i do a lot of highway driving to school and back about 30 miles round trip 3 times a week and get my running around town done.

it just seems to low for millage on a single tank.

could it be a clogged or dirty fuel system? or even a dirty fuel filter? i dunno im stumped on this.
