Are all honda map sensors the same?

 

Have you tried the Engine Management FAQ, it has a nice chunk explaining them in there.

 

No they are not all the same, from 88 - 2000 most mpfi Hondas used the same map sensor but not all of them... Do you have a specific question?

 

no, i reckon the map sensor has fucked up on my car, im gettin a code 3, i have been using the hack now for 6 months and all has been good, but now it throws this code and runs like ----, also the air/fuel meter is displaying some wierd things, so i am guessing that the map sensor has gone poop.

I was gonna go to the scrap yard and fetch any from a honda if they fitted, but if they are differant i will go to the dealer and pay lots for it!

Just rang honda and they won't sell the map sensor on its own, they will only sell with the throttle body assembly! £350. 600 ------ dollars!

Thats the only way u can get them in Canada too
their hard to get in wreckers because of it.
I get mine off of '90 to 93 accords
Get the whole T/B and drill out the rivets at home
and set up with volt meter.
While im there i grab the resistor pack too.
these accords allways get overlooked here
by the scavengers

 

yeah the pre 89 accord uses a different map sensor, youd need 90-97 accord
