Expect to pay from $150-$300. I payed $150 the first time, and the machine shop fucked up. I ended up paying $275 this time, but the guy who did it was cool, knew my name, and made sure it was right.
A good machine shop is hard to find. |

I figure my question is on topic, so I'll put it on the table.
What are some good qualifying questions to ask a shop. I know if you just say, "Do you do good work?" they are going to tell you what you want to hear. What I'm asking is what kind of in depth questions you could ask to find out if they are any good, and what are the right answers. |

have them check the blocks head surface for "flatness".
