LX ECU Problems
Heres my situation, I have a 97 EX, i swapped a LX motor into it till i get my EX motor built. Now i have a LX ECU but only have a EX wiring harness, so when i plug the LX ecu up to it, it wont hold a idle. Ive figured out its the IACV, the ex harness has a 2 wire plug and the LX has a 3 wire, so how can i easy fix this??? by the way i have the LX TB on hand

Re:LX ECU Problems
I would say Add the 1 orange wire, for the Y7 IACV, and then use the Y7 throttle body, and not use ur Y8 IACV.

Re:LX ECU Problems
aight where do i run the orange wire too?? in my plug? if so which pinout? whats the orange wire for anyway?
|
Re:LX ECU Problems
Yea u add it to the plug of the harness, look for a pinout of the OBD2a, and then go from there, then u need to add the plug so u can use the y7 throttle body.

Re:LX ECU Problems
And you will need to get the 3 wire iacv plug

Re:LX ECU Problems
Then it should run fine!

Re:LX ECU Problems
top up headlight fluid
install kanutsen valve oil muffler bearings and you're good to go. |

Re:LX ECU Problems
Aight i ran the orange wire and soldered up the lx plug ran a pinout for the orange wire but theres only one pinout for the iacv ran already adn theres 3 pins for the iacv,IACV,IACV positive,IACV negative. So where do i plug the orange wire into??

Re:LX ECU Problems
I hooked everything up ran the orange wire to the IACV pinout and hooked the other black wire to the ICAV neg pinout the idle this bounce between 1500 and 2000 and it just bob's there, what did i do wrong, theres three wires coming off the plug but only 2 to the ECU. and i swaped the throttlebodys and everything over
