LSVTEC QUESTION>>>

I was wondering how much more in increase will the

compression be using stock LS compression pistons???

9:2:1???

What about 9:5:1??

all with WIth a B16 head...

I hear that its suppose to increase a little, i was

wondering how much, because i wanna have a little

higher than stock compression, just not too much.

9.5:1 is what you will end up having with the B16 head

So i guess I should keep stock compress???

I just dont wanna get too close to 10 compress.

Why is that?

what is the reason you dont want to hit "10:1" ?

Stock GSR's are 10:1 and people run 11-12 psi on them all day long. I think you worry about htings that you should not worry about. put a vtec head on your slowmobile and get it over with.

Re:LSVTEC QUESTION>>>

LOL HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA ROD STROKE RATIO THIS ROD STROKE RATIO THAT, THATS ALL WE EVER HEAR OUT OF YOU, that has nothing to do with the amount of boost you can run. you need to do alot more research and stop listening to retards.

I know many people that have ran 10:1 compresion.

If you resleeve it its not much of an issue, i know jeff is going to be running 10:1 compression.

Its not how much psi of boost you are running, its how clean you are running it ( detonation and hp) the ls and gsr rods can only take so much hp. and thats around 300ish.

Please do some more research before asking stupid questions and throwing up "ROD STROKE RATIO" Because that made absolutly no sence at all.

..... OOOPS.... Fine then. I was just wonderin....

;D

I not doing what the retards say, Im am trying to get mo info right now. I guess I got it now... ;)

Re:LSVTEC QUESTION>>>

Then stop talking about Rod Stroke ratio. its only .04 of a differance. people rev ls/vtecs just as high as gsr's and have no prolbem with it.

Re:LSVTEC QUESTION>>>

I wouldnt put any higher compression pistons in, I'd boost it how it is now, its not like you are going to get huge gains from putting in some GSR pistons in or something. I mean if you have some laying around, sure go ahead. But I really dont think it's worth all the trouble.

Ya, I did run some PR3's in a ls/vtec which is around 11.3 comp and yes it was boosted, but thats not the best idea. Especially for an amature. Tuning a boosted 9.5c/r engine vs a boosted 11.3 is like night and day.

:)

Yeah, I was planning on trading for my friend's,his LS forged 9:5:1 compress. pistons. How much compress, should that increase with the vtec head.

I mean, the vtec head is suppose to increase the compression by a little correct??

Re:LSVTEC QUESTION>>>

10-12psi,

Night and day.. meaning its alot different from tuning a lower compression engine vs a high compression engine. I would just highly suggest get someone who can tune good.
