Well I was thinking more like putting the gears from the DX into the EX(the EX is kinda fuxored and I don't like the non-highway friendly 6000rpm cruising) case so I could run the LSD.

$125 + shims from Honda

I just got in a package from www.gearspeed.com from a auction I won on Ebay for $99 + $10 shipping = $109 total.

I'll add up the parts from Honda later, but I believe I'll be dealing with Gearspeed from now on.

Dr Boost, what DX gears you wish to use? Only a 4% difference in the crusing rpms. If your complaining about 6000 rpm cruising, your doing about 120 mph!!!!!!!

Unpacked the box, opening the packages.

All parts are Honda OEM.

The ebay auction had a $99 opening bid, buy it now price for $150. The parts shown would cost $163.40 from www.slhonda.com and shipping would take forever.

---- you Honda, hello GearSpeed!!!!!!

Really? I used to drive to vegas at ~120ish with a DX tranny all the time and I felt comfortable at that rpm. With my current EX tranny it feels like it's about to blow at anything above 90mph. :-\ If I remember right, 80mph is a little more than 4000rpm with the EX. I'm just not comfy with driving at ~4500-5000rpm for 4 hour trips. :-\

CRX Si tranny would be 4000 rpm @ 80 mph, not a EX.

I've driven 90-95 with a EX tranny/CRX Si 5th gear for long periods of time. Just stay out of VTEC and all is fine.

With EX tranny 4000 rpm = 90.58 mph

Wow, both of my tachs must be fuxored(or my speedo). :-\ I'm seeing less than 85 at 4000.

My EX tranny turns like 3100 at 70, even that can be annoying. Planning on going back to my DX with my built motor. I'll sacrifice a couple tenths for highway peace.
