I am getting a B18a1 bottom end to use for my LS/VTEC swap and I have a couple questions.

The rings supposively need to be replaced so can I pull the pistons, replace the rings and reinstall without having to worry about honing or boring? I only plan on running 8 psi on the motor until I can afford to build it for high boost. I want to do sleeves and all in time.

 

When you replace rings you will need to give the cylinders a quick hone job if you want them to seal correctly.
