ls/vtec problem

i 've assembled ls/vtec with b18b botomend and b16a1 topend. with pr3 pistons. problem - i have no oil pressure to activate vtec when i get positive from battery to vtec solenoid. after searching for a problem i found that there no pressure at hole, wich supplyoil to oil solenoid. i have used small 1/8 hole in head under distributor and waterhousing to supply oil for vtec (most of all use 3/8 big from intake side). may be that's a problem? cso everybody i saw in internet used 3/8 hole.

ps: i checked pressure at tee - 1.5 bar at idle and 4-5 at 3-4k rpms. right now i am not getting pressure BEFORE vtec solenoid.

Re: ls/vtec problem

don't pipe it in there you have to use the one on the back of the head next to the intake manifold that way you supply the rest of the head as well as activate vtec you better fix that problem before you burn up that head. also did you up grade to the 96+ oil pump anything 95 and back does not have enough oil volume to supply the whole enging you will spin a rod bearing and probably score the crank and cams as well. check this stuff out before you just slap it all together. do it once and do it right before you end up costing yourself 1000"s

You need the golden eagle ls/vtec kit. Or at least the "oil filter adaptor" part. http://www.robearracing.com/pd_golden_eagle_full.cfm

no you just t off the oil pressure sensor on the back of the block way way cheaper I think stealth mode has em for 50 shipeed beast like 150 for the other setup.
