ls/vtec- how much $$$
like it says i want to do a ls/vtec but im trying to find a budget on what im going to be spending
as of now i have a sohc zc turbo making 214whp, but theres no substitute for a nice smooth vtec crossover and much higher torque curve.
any price lists or ppl that have done them on a budget please post up, but i dont want to do a hack job with the linkage and ---- so im going HAsport all the way and i build my own ecu jumpers so 0<1's are nothing and wiring for vtec and vtec oil pressure is going to be done by my good friend ryan or rywire. yeah this is all going into my 90 crx si

Re: ls/vtec- how much $$$
well if you have the wireing and linkage down pat, now you need:
hasport motor mounts-$300
LS block-$200
cable LS tranny-$400
b16a head complete-$600
integra axles-$130-$140
a good clutch-$300-$350
all the ---- to do a rebuild on the LS block-$300
a new turbo and manifold-$500-$800
golden eagle LS/vtec kit-$200
and re-tune the ecu
or you could probably do all that for about 1/2-3/4 that price, and buy a bunch of junky ---- thats gonna break!

Re: ls/vtec- how much $$$
I would say it could be done easily for 2500 with all the part included and a good rebuild if you do it all your self.and that is with all arp hardware. wise investment. especialy rod bolts are a MUST if you are not going forged bottom end. All in all I love mine and it is def worth the money if it is done right. better torque and hp then a b18c b16 secound only to a b16b and b18c5 in power n/a
