Default ls/vtec?

im thinkin about ls/vtec for my 91 hatch. i want it to be a strong motor so im gonna go all out on it. ive been reading for a while but still cannot deciffer if a b18a1 is exactly the same as any other b18 block. i know my bore is 81 mm and im thinkin about a 84 mm bore. was thinkin about stroking it to 1.9L and boosting it like that. its gonna be daily driven and possibly have some track/t-attack dutys too on the weekends. i already know what turbo im gonna get for it(t3/t04e hybrid from full-race most likely). im still reading up on some ---- though. sleeved block is a must as well. probally gonna get some golden eagle sleeves. arp head studs ftw, as well as rest of the bolts too. not sure about pistons yet. got a buddy that can do some custom pistons for me. let me know if there is anything else that needs to be done or ahve any tips to give.

b18a/b blocks are the same. if you sleeve the block to 84mm it will be around a 1.9L no need to stroke it. Just get a good set of rods/pistons and ur set if your going to sleeve it spend the extra $$$ and have it o-ringed and a step deck

race gas sounds good. too bad its not available at every station around here. plus its expensive as hell. may 89/91 octane at 3/4 tank plus 1/4 tank race gas. sounds good. right

So mix your own race gas http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/octanebooster.html Alright, so maybe they're just octane boosters, but I've tried the toulene mixes and they seem to work pretty well

Word, I bored my block out .5mm over, which with a b18b puts me around 1.86L. Hard to believe with just a .020 bore job.

well, figure around $1000-1500 just to sleeve the block, then another $200-500 to oring it depending on where you are. dont forget to upgrade to a vtec oil pump, and if you plan on revving it over stock redline get the whole bottom end balanced. plan on spending atleast $1500 on machine work.

oh its deffinetly gettin revved over redline yet it will look like a sleeper for sure. the only thing that would give it away would be the bov(that is if i rev it to make boost, which more than likely will be all the time.lol ). but sounds about right. who makes the best sleeving kit? i heard some bad things about golden eagle. im still doin research for that but not having any luck really.
