You've got to be kidding? You bought an engine before researching what you were going to do with it? ..sheesh..

You might want to search around on Honda-Tech.com for swap information. Also, check Google.com. They have a HUGE section on Import modification, just ask to see it.

As far as what I would do.. I'd buy a conversion harness. Even though going OBDII to OBD0 is crazy, it can be done.
Sheesh, what you might do is a buy a ODB0 -> OBD1 harness, then buy an OBD1 -> OBDII harness. That's completely ghetto, but it could work with minimal wiring.

Otherwise, you better bone-up on your wiring skill sbecause you're in for a bumpy ride. :-\

did u get the ECU with the engine? dist? tranny? i hope you got a cable tranny!!!

Im not sure, but couldnt you just make the whole car OBD-2 if u have the ecu and harness already??

Re:ls swap question

OBD 2 conversion would be gay... you'd have to add and wire up stupid sensors, like fuel tank pressure sensor thingy... a second o2 sensor inside the cat, and the list goes on and on...
just my 2 cents...

Re:ls swap question

you are better off selling the thing and getting something that will drop in easier. If you want to get an LS than 90-93 will work with ease. Its pretty useless to put the motor in cuz for the amount of time and money you can put into it you could have ended up with something better. OBD-II is so sensitive to changes its crazy. When you start modding OBD-II cars such as air flow in and out, the ECU recognizes a change and will alter the air fuel mixture accordingly. You can't use any of the tricks with OBD-0 on OBD-II. Like you can't wire the one o2 input signal to both the primary and secondary o2 inputs on the ecu. you'll have to add another o2 sensor in the three way cat. Best bet would to sell the motor and everything you got with it, trans, ecu, wiring harness, cuz you won't be able to use it anyways. the 2000 LS has a hydraulic trans anyways and you need a cable trans and so on. You can sell that motor for a good price and pick something else easier to drop in and with the profit you made off of it buy the necessities like motor mounts and shift linkage. Its all up to you if you really want to do It cuz it CAN be done. I personally think its a bad investment for the time and money and it would be fast enough for the time and money you put into it. Up to you I'm not stoppin ya.

If you feel like tackling it get the electrical tape out and wire cutter

just a thought...but what if you cut off the connectors off the obd2 harness and just connect it back on his stock harness and just use a obd0 ecu??

k i did some research there buddy :-\ i bought just the engine
am going to pick up a ls cable tranny soon why i bought this engine because first thing it only had 16,xxx and i didn;t want to pick up a ls engine from a 90 93 b/c it will have to much kms on the engine

Re:ls swap question

That is going to be a headache in a half. If you do this swap it will take you a long ass time to get done and you will have to switch little things like the distro and you’ll have to modify the injector plugs etc.. Buy an OBD0 or OBD1 engine and be nice to yourself.

or u can pay a shop with experience to complete it. Im not too sure, but if u use OBD0 sensors and ecu and dist it should work no?> Im no expert on this area tho just a thought.

yea you could do that cause thats what im doing..i bought an obd0 dist and complete intake manifold.most of the sensors are on the manifold and theres like only 4 on the block that just plug in..dont forget you need to change your injectors to 90-91 tegs so that you could use your resistor box
