the LS is in.. with some mount problems

im using the streetimports.com b series swap mounts... The driver side mount by the timing cover has about 3/4" of space between the rubber mount and the metal chassis mount that it fits into ??? whats the deal with that? Are you supposed to use the stock rubber insulator shits between the mount and the car?

thats only the first fitment issue:

how do you know if you have the wrong rear bracket? I supposedly got the correct one from a 94+ integra but the bottom bolt by the axel seal doesnt line up right now. The top one does, as well as the other 2 (through the mount and on the top of the trans) I think i just need to wiggle it around some more becuase its close, but about 1/2" off. Would the wrong mount be even close?

thats a lot of space
usually the metal sleeve of the mount touches the walls of the mount holder or however you call it

yeah, thats what i thought. The other 2 mounts fit ok. Actually, the back one fits great, and the one on the tranny had about 1/4" of space i squeezed shut with a 1/2" drive rachet. I think the stock rubber spacers are supposed to go back in, but i dont have them any more to even try. Anyone know how thick they are?

Re: the LS is in.. with some mount problems

the ls is 90-93. I highly doubt i bent the chassis mount taking the engine out.. thats pretty hard to do. The mount is just not long enough to take up all the space in the metal bracket it bolts into.

back to the bracket on the back of the block: I guess there is a different one for 90-93 integras and 94+ integras? I probably have the 90-93 one, unless something else is wrong that wont let the bracket bolt in. But my opinion is that i have the wrong one. I can get 3 of the 4 bolts in, but one is always 1/2" off. Ill try and get some pics later if i dont get a new mount soon.

Take some pictures of your mounting dilema. I'm too visual of a person to be able to understand what's going on here. Did you bolt up the rear mount to the motor/tranny before the motor was in the car to make sure it worked? I think it was off an Auto, but I know for a fact the 90-93 rear tranny brackets are the same auto or manual, but that bracket could possibly be different between auto/manual for the 94 up B series.

The space in the side mount seems to be strange, though, pics are needed here for clarification. Good luck.
