ls head on a b16a for turbo?
Im more of a na guy but I have a b16 sittin in my garage and im thinkin about makin a homemade kit.I realize the b18 is junk but would that lower my compression?I realize there would be a hp loss but would it wrk?I dnt really trust turboin the b16 with stock compression...what are my other options? What are the prob areas of the motor?

Myself and a few others on this board are boosting stock (except for Beau, pistons?) B16's anywhere from 6-12ish psi with good fuel mgmnt.
LS head on a B16....your going backwards. Your B16 can handle 'managed' boost just fine.

You're better off turboing the B16 stock rather then putting the B18 head on it, You will have to boost it to get to the hp levels of a stock B16 and to come close to a boosted b16 you will need to boost much higher. Higher compression and lower boost will get you the same power has lower compression and higher boost.
