Default Loose shifter

I don't think its normal that my shifter is this loose.
I even installed a urethan bushing kit and its still the same.
What part needs to be replaced?

Ive been having the same problem with mine, even after i intalled the bushings it wsa the same, i finally figured out where it comes from, I was takin my motor out the other day and was hitting out the bitch pin and grabbed the linkage theres a bracket on the end of it where it connects to the tranny with another pin on it and i noticed thats where my loosness was coming from, im going to try and figure how to make it stiffer or not when i go to put the motor back in, and i am not talking about the same pin as the "bitch pin" its about 4 inches from it towards the shifter side. hope this helps.

o-rings on the bottom of the shifter, they break down from age and exhaust heat.

I'm using the same bitch pin and it has been removed at LEAST 30-35 times.........

Ill check the rings.
I have about 3-4 inches of slack when im in neutral, its pretty bad.
I had to put a ribbed boot from an ef underneath the leather boot so it didnt vibrate against the side when it was in gear

I test drove a del sol and that thing was tight so i was like wtf.
The gears on that thing were crisp abd i asked if he had a short shifter or something and he said it was stock.
