lighter flywheel

Default lighter flywheel

Puting on new clutch and the old flywheel is worn so i just thought about getting another one what do you guys think about lighter fly wheels for daily driven turbo crx. heard good and bad im sure this has been covered but the search at this site hasent worked in a long time. I found this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RA...16460139QQrdZ1 its pretty light but it is an egay part just curious on other peoples opinion thanks.

b/c with those ebay flywheels mine was 15 grams out of balance fucked my crank seals up made my motor shake n ----

sorry to jack you're thread but I was thinking about taking my stock FW to the machine shop to have him take a bunch of material off to lighen it up a bit, it needs to be resurfaced anyway. Can you even do that? or is the surface the clutch disk toutches actually a different material?

yes you can have it done, the resurfaced, then rebalanced.

Done correctly it costs $175-200

definetly you should go LSD and no matter if it's new or not i would have it balanced before even thinking about putting it on my car..imo
