I prefer/recommend the ACT chromoly flywheel, stronger than aluminum. I've got the 8.5lb flywheel with ACT clutch and a unorthodox racing underdrive pulley. Works great. Maybe not recommended for longevity, but who cares, D-series are cheap or free.

Couldn't of said it better myself. I bought a lightweight crank pulley for my LS build up since the stock one was cracked and had chunks missing on some of the ribs. Plus it's shiney so it's coo. 8)

I run a lightend stock pully and flywheel. I bought both from a guy who worked at a machine shop. They both ended up weighing about half as much as stock. The flywheel I sent out to have balanced just in case. Ive been running both on all my D's for the past 3 years and never had a problem.
