Light Flywheels

Its time to do a clutch so im looking into a act prolite or streetlite flywheels while im at it. the prolites are 8.4 pounds for the 212mm wheel. If anyone has one of these or a similar light flywheel can you tell me how much it changes drivability?
Thanks

i have a lightened oem flywheel in my 88si. it revs alot quicker, but it's easier to stall the engine.. normally you can get it into first gear while normal driving just above what, 1200rpm? i have to start off at around 2k otherwise it will stall and/or shudder like hell! but it makes rev matches for downshifting a breeze.

Ive heard you are better lightening a oem flywheel then buying a eight pounder. Remember you lose the inertia of the flywheel and you are more prone to bog when you launch and you have to feather it more to move from a dead stop. Ive heard of not being able to control rpms when you rev or that they drop to fast and stall. Ive heard good thing about it as well . It just comes down to with you can put up with.

get a clutchmaster flywheel

lightend factory units are very explosive, dont ever do that :D

exactly my feelings...i have the 12.5 lb act one, and i noticed exactly what you did. a little harder to launch, but the rpms jump up there ;D ;D
