Default K series Swap?

What is out there for a K swap in a 92-95 civic. I was wondering if maybe I could make civic hatch (mid engine of course).

Also are these things any good for a turbo?

well #1 you need money. #2 the motors are totally opposite way than a b series. #3 they are too ------- slow. i have a 02 si and the only thing it is good that it is a new car and it is mad comfortable. like the seats i love them. i love them so much that i want them in my car. anyways you are better off with a b series. if you want to spend that kind of money just buy a hseries and put it in your car.

I knew Hasport was working on a kit. The K series is suppose to be better in everyway, lighter, stronger. Easier to mod, all that ----.

It shouldn't cost that much no more than 10k over 2 years to do. (thats Canadian)

Hasport has a kit and put one in a Civic sedan that had a d-series in it. But yeah, I've heard that the K-series is better in most ways than the B-series, except for parts availability/cost, but that will change in a few years.

k series are easily tuned by the ECU. It comes stock w/ a programmable removeable chip. Honda has now added a new idea into the ecu, cam phasing. No more need for cam gears, the ecu can do it on the fly, but only to the intake cam.

Phasing the cam on the fly is just wonderful. With cam gears you advance the timing and loose power at one end of the rpm range, retard timing and you loose it at the opposite. Cam phasing allows you to slowly adjust the cam over the rpm range to gain back that power loss.

Honda Tuning did a big thing on the k series. so Did Jackson racing (who already has a SC kit for the rsx-s and civic Si). Using cam phasing and removing the rev limit JR had the rsx-s on a dyno turning 9475 rpm and it was still making power.

and the k series motors (in the rsx and civic) are 2.0l, its like a cr/vtec already! The rsx-s motor is a DIRECT swap into a civic si. You replace the rsx-s power steering pump with a pulley (civic has electronic power steering) and swap ecu's (different vtec) and thats it. even the 6-speed fits!

The vtec's are different in this way. The RSX-s is more like the b series vtec. It switches both cams at the same time to the high lobe, at 6000rpm. While the civic is totally different. 2 intake valves in each cylinder follow different lobes. one the primary lobe and one a "whimpier" secondary lobe. at 2300rpm they both start following the primary lobe. Thats it. The exhaust cam is on the same lobe the entire time.

I haven't read anything about doing this, but I bet you can swap the heads and ecu's and get the extra 40hp.

1st find a K-series engine. 2nd deal sum drugs and have a few G's standing buy.
And how do you tune the ECU if you don't have the software for it??
How much do you have to pay for that...or can you even get it?
