Hey I have a B18c1 in a 94 civic. I was wondering what type of set up I could use without having to change to lower compression pistons and balancing my lower end. I just want to get around 40-60 extra HP without loosing power at the high end and loosing reliability/stability in my engine. I know this is a very vague post but I'm just starting to look into the custom turbo set up. The turbonetics kit looks like a decent deal on ebay, but I saw the IHI RHB5 for pretty cheap too. Then again I read somewhere here that those cut out on the high end of my power band... Any comments? ??? (except the ones about me being a fag noob)

hey jeff, welcome to homemadeturbo! first, you wouldnt need lower compression pistons and balancing unless you're running alot of boost. b18c1's do have a higher compression, but if u run low boost and a decent tune it should hold up.

the ihi rhb5 would be too little for the gsr engine. i would suggest a t3 from a thunderbird or a t3/t4 if you can find one cheap enough.

i think you should start out researching. thats what every1 is going to tell you just to give u a heads up. go to the faq and it should answer most of your questions.
