Default Just finished replacing all ball joints on the front.

Just had to vent about this. I finally, after 3 days, got this done. It took soo long because I had to wait for parts and work and go to school all at the same time. I took it out for a test drive after I finished tonight at 10. As much of a test drive as you can do when its raining outside. Its been raining here for two days straight and is supposed to rain tomorrow. This is shitty. I had to drive my dads Thunderbird while my carwas down. Was fun getting the back end loose and getting sideways coming out of parking lots and ----. Driving a RWD carwill teach you something about how to keep a car under control. Anyways, costed my$50 to fill the bitch up this afternoon...

Spent about $250 on stock replacement Wheel bearings, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, upper balljoints/control arms, new oil, filter, and misc. other ----. Took my hubs to a friends work and pressed out the wheel bearings and damn, its riding much better now. I wish I could have driven a CRX Si when they were brand new so I would know just how shitty mine was riding. I thought it was pretty good then I saw every one of my ball joints were messed up....

if you read this, thanks for your time. Just felt like venting some of this. Yes, I know I jump around on subjects, and I'm bad at typing. I suck like that. eat my ***.

It was soo good to hear the bov again tonight Vids coming soon

When ever I get a new project the first thing I do is tie rods,bj's and bearings.I also did all the bushings[urethane] including the rear trailing arm[OE replc.] and man what a difference it makes.Even if you don't want to do a full bushing kit as it is a massive job do the rear trailing arm bushings[big one].It makes a huge difference in handling by getting rid of the slop that occurs in the rear when taking hard cornering.

yea, the rear is definitely the next step. Drove it for 25 minutes at 90mph misaligned today...------ scary, but IW As late for work. NEedless to say it wqas aligned after work they fucked up and now my steering wheel is cocked to the right, but they are gonna fix it tuesday (only free chance I'll have). Got them to find out where all my oil leaks are coming from...

Apparently I suck at changing main seals and the FMS is still elaking, I have to change the RMS, and somehow my oil filter housing is leaking as well......how does that leak? is there some sort of seal on there that goes bad as well or what?

if your oil filter 'housing' is leaking, it might be cracked, i've seen it happen. or you just got two gaskets on there.

When I was working as a mechanic in the garage I would see the two gaskets quite often.Pretty easy to happen when someone is hurrying through a oil change or at the end of a long day.Couple customers who were rude got charged an hours labour to change a "oil control O ring"

It's definitelyworth it. Get an alignment right after you do it though. my alignment was waaayyy off after I did mine. Car waspulling in every direction. After you get the alignmen, take it back to them a couple days later and make them check teh alignment. The first time they did mine, they did a VERY half *** job and I breought it back and madethem print me a report/diagram of what the settings were before and after the alignment.
