just a another civic auto to manual swap question.......

alright, i just took the motor out of my 94 civic ex manual, and started to put it in my new 93 civic ex automatic......now i got the clutch setup in fine......but the question is....on the passenger side, i know you have to change both the motor mount and the front mount to manual......well i did that, but now, where the passenger mount, mounts to the frame bracket, the frame brackets are different from car to car for some fucked up reason, the one on the 93 ex slants at an angle upwards, and on my 94 ex, the bracket is straight????? why is it different, since it slants up, the motor is tilted an inch more higher on the passenger side than it should be, what should i do?? sccaeg is going to post pics, but i hope tonight (8-27) i can get answers so i can do it tomorrow, i thought all the shells were the same with auto and manual, and you just had to switch the mounts......am i wrong?????

big problem. auto to manual u gotta get ur tranny mount re-welded. a lil more difficult then jus "changing it" it has to be cut off then moved forward a few inches... i say for now, jus take off the tranny mount, hook up all the vibration mounts and the back mount and driver side mount and it should drive okay for now, my friend drove his b16 like that for 2 years... it was amazing...

i don't remember having to reweld anything but i got the manual tranny mounts from a junkyard ( www.findusedparts.com ) and everythign fit perfectly. mine is a 99, maybe that is the reason but it doesn't sound like it makes sence to me. if the chassis are made the same then the only differance is the mounts (at least that is what makes sence to me).

you do have the manual starter right? just wondering because that is the one thing that held up my install.

yeah, on 92-95's. you have to reweld the mount. i put a stack of washers under the mount , between the tranny, on one that i did recently. it worked well enough for him to drive it for a week until we could re-weld it.
