Default Junkyard Diving

I'm living out in montana and there is a serious lack of hondas in the junkyards out here. I have an HF crx with a JDM d15b swapped into it. It needs axles now but I would rather swap spindles and start using the bigger Si axles/ Ex brakes and I have heard that you can use Ex hubs/spindle and brakes...whatnot. There is no ex out here in any junkyard and my question is whether or not LX and lower model 92-95s have the same spline count on the axle. I know there are complete EX hubs on ebay for pretty cheap but I am hoping to get the ---- for even cheaper at a junkyard. I also don't want to wait for the shipping because I am about to ---- axle all over the road.

So if I pull any DA spindle I can use the si/dx axles? And will the Da brakes fit under zee 13" steelies? If no one knows I'll try it out and hope the junk yard doesn't have a problem with returns.

13s wont fit over the DA calipers. I couldnt even fit 88-91 Crx Si 14" wheels. They rubbed while turning, even after grinding the caliper bracket. I have no issues with 14" steel wheels, just the aluminum Crx wheels. You can use the 88-91 si/dx axles without a problem too. I have this exact setup on my car.

Braking is a huge improvement but youll want the bigger DA brake booster and master cylinder otherwise the pedal will probably go to the floor.

The DA knuckles will throw your alignment off, they are just a bit taller. If you have a camber correction kit, you can dial it back in.

Otherwise, get any 88-81 dx/si hub and go to www.fastbrakes.com. They make caliper brackets that let you run the larger caliper on the smaller spindle.

Good luck

Found an old 4 door Im gonna grab the knuckles and axle assy. and just get new rotors and pads for her. If I come on EX knuckles I will be able to keep the axles and swap em out. I am just worried the axles exploding around the next corner. Junkards suck out here.

you cant use anything 92 or newer. use da integra spindles or non hf spindles from a ef civic.
