jeff, or any expert, help!

I need to find a way to bypass my pcv system, I 've been having problems with my pcv, when I hook a breather up to my valve cover it will leek oil, that I have too much pressure in the system I have to fill my oil every week, and I use full synthetic so u know that cost$, I want to know if I can bypass the system into a catch can BY removing the pcv valve, and plugging the hole in the intake mani. I want to know if any one did this and if its safe, I ask this before but no help.

How is the compression in that motor? If you are loosing that much oil I would say you have some problems with the rings.

Re:jeff, or any expert, help!

I checked the compression, I had 145 in all four, I dont burn it, it just end up in the intake breather from the valve cover, when I idle I can see steam comming out of the breater, if I disconnect the pcv, the steam would stop, so thats why I think its my pcv, and I replaced it twice and still have the same prob. so I want to try putting both the pcv and the valve cover breather into a breather tank, does it have to be connected to a vacuum source, I know once I put through the breather tank I cant hook it to the mani, cause that would be a vac leak, so I would plug the port to the intake mani, see, but is it safe to just let it breath on its own?, also I have I oil pressure of 80psi, and idle at 20psi, even if my oil level is below the mark on a mechanical guage. what should I do? I would like to fix that before I install the turbo. help please.

I just have a hose coming off my valve cover. It smokes a bit and looses a little oil, but not as much as you are talking about. I don't see a problem with atmospheric ventilation. I think that is what Jeff is doing. ???

a breather tank goes inline on the pcv vac hose and is sealed

just run the pcv hose to the intake or to a breather tank then the intake if you have problems with a breather filter on it

what I'm trying to do is do away completely with the pcv valve completely, and run the hose to the breather can, then take the valve cover breather and put also to the breather can, plug the vacuum port on the intake mani, or use for boost purposes. all I want to know is, do I have to hook to the intake, do I have to use the valve? the breather can have a filter on top.
