Since it's a D16, does that mean I can put it on a D15 block?

All 86-89 integras are D16a1's. 86-87 had brown tops and were vacuum advance, while 88-89's were black tops and had electronic advance.

I don't understand what you mean by I can put it on a D15 block?

That's all I was asking. Thanks. Can you explain more about this "vaccum advance"?

Vacuum advance is what older engines use to advance the ignition timing on the distributor.
AFAIK every engine honda made since 88 uses electronic advance which is controlled by the ecu. All the stand alone systems are for electronic advance because the ecu can retard the timing.
Folks with vacuum advance, like myself, have to either upgrade to electronic advance, use shitty management systems in conjunction with BTM's, or we'll be SOL.
I'll be upgrading my D16a1 block with an 88-89 teg head and wiring once I am confident I can do it. I already have all the parts and a spare head, it's just the spaghetti(wiring harness) that scares me.

Wow, you have been extremly helpful. I have an 87 LS engine that I wanted to put into my hatch, but I guess that's a no go, via vaccum. Oh well, anyone want it?

Since you're asking, how much are you asking for it?
Miles?
Most of all, where are you located?
