Installing rod bearing ?
This is my first time swapping rods and pistons. My B7 bottomend is still together and in good condition so I didn't take that apart and didn't need new crank bearing etc... Do I just go and buy some rod bearing for a B7 and then slapped them in and tighten em' down to specs or what? Also I'm using ARP rod bolts also if thats any different over the stock bolts? This is for my lil' 1.5 NA project I'm building which consist of
-b7 bottom end
-d15b rods w/arp rod bolts
-y7 pistons
-y8 2 layer headgasket
-z6 head and IM portmatched to b16a TB
-DC SS 4-1
I'm not looking for much since this whole engine cost me basically 100 from just leftover parts I had laying around and got curious and it'll end up with a 11.3:1 CR so boosting is not in this engine's future. I have another Z6 for that!
