Installing Rear main seal

installed the rear main seal last night...
but it kinda feel like it`s not being driven deep enough when i turn the flywheel(u can hear a very little scrubing sound)...but teh outer lip of the seal is already on the origional place
is it suppose to make those noise or did i ---- up?

Re:Installing Rear main seal

Did you compare it to the old one and see if they were similiar. I think it should be flush and not touching the flywheel at all.

Re:Installing Rear main seal

i did lube it up and i did it guuood ;)
and the manual said put it back to where`s it was and leave the same clearence in between the seal housing and the seal..which is what i did...
not sure if it is touching or not but it sounded kinda like it.
i mean it`s just a little bit of noise..kinda like ur touching the flywheel with a piece of paper while spinning it.
or is it just how it suppose to sound?? ???
